Sooooo there are a lot of people out there who I see walking around and I wonder why on earth they would be wearing the clothes they are. The answers is simple - because it is in fashion.
People have stopped caring about style and just blindly follow what is in fashion.
Why the two are very, very different.
Fashion is dictated by the catwalks thus the models and the fashion designers. It then moves on to the magazines that try and figure out which trends/themes will be it for that season.
So it has trends and changes from season to season - although often certain themes stick around for a little while. In the 'olden days' fashion stayed around for a decade, but from the noughties onwards we have been taking everything from every decade in the 20th century... Not necessarily in an attractive way.
When it comes to make up this is when you get the random eyeliner an inch above or below the eye and purple lipstick - because that's part of the theatrics the fashion designers use for their shows. Hair is a similar story.
Style is dictated by the wearer. It suits their body shape and makes them feel the best they can. Sometimes it includes whatever is in fashion and sometimes it is completely different - but it makes the wearer look the best they possibly can.
When it comes to hair and make up it does the same thing - it accentuates the person's face shape, makes them feel and look beautiful and confident. It is tailor made to them, not to what is 'in fashion'.
The reason why I have started this blog is to try and educate people on different things that suit different people. Just because something is in fashion doesn't mean you should wear it...
